Kim Rubey
Kim Rubey leads the AirBnB’s public relations and public affairs efforts, and also oversees its social impact, digital advocacy, and policy research teams. Kim joined Airbnb in 2011 and has scaled the communications team from 5 to over 50 people in a dozen different countries. Since joining, she has played a leading role in Airbnb’s historic launch in Cuba, the company’s disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, and other major company milestones. For over 20 years, Kim has driven communications strategies for leading technology companies, political campaigns, and government agencies. Prior to joining Airbnb, Kim held senior communications roles at Yahoo! and eBay; in 2004 she served as the communications director for the vice presidential nominee for the Kerry-Edwards campaign after working on multiple Democratic campaigns. Kim holds a BA in American Government from Georgetown University and lives in San Francisco, California. She also serves on the board of directors of
