Emmanuel Marot is a polymath and serial entrepreneur.
A French 'grandes école' graduate with a major in Computational Finance, Emmanuel started his career in marketing at Apple. He also helped the French intelligence agency to modernize the presentation of highly classified information, and worked as a freelance graphic designer.
At age 26, he created his first startup, a Web agency that he grew up to 15 people while keeping the net operating margin above 30%. The company developed the first virtual reality cd-rom (Guinness book of records, 1995) and produced mobile Internet services as early as 1996. After selling it, he co-founded a larger communication agency, with 400 employees and an annual turnover of 30 millions Euro. In 2000, Emmanuel patented a novel way to access mobile sites and created his 3rd company, which he sold it six year later to Microsoft where he became Director of Mobile Search, and moved to Seattle, WA.
He left Microsoft in 2008 to research algorithmic trading and, in parallel, did multiple executive consulting engagements in marketing or strategy for startups and corporations. In 2012 he began to focus his work on the design of machine learning processes to automate decisions, and founded LendingRobot to simplify and automate investments in Alternative Lending.
Emmanuel was designated as "one of 44 Executives Shaping the Future of Banking", won a "Best of Show" award at Finovate, and spoke at numerous conferences and workshops, including ABS, LendIt and the World Economic Forum.
