Lila Ibrahim
Lila Ibrahim is the Chief Business Officer of Coursera, an education-focused technology company that partners with 150 of the world's top universities to offer over 2,000 online courses and certificates in topics ranging from computer programming to business leadership. Lila joined Coursera in 2013, after working closely with the company in her role as a partner at the prominent venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers - one of Coursera's earliest investors. Previously, she held multiple technical and leadership roles with Intel Corporation, including Chief of Staff to the former CEO and Chairman. She continues to serve as a strategic advisor at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; she also serves on the Board of Directors for Gannett Co., Inc., and is the co-founder and Executive Chair of Team4Tech, an education technology non-profit. Lila's achievements have garnered wide recognition, including her two-year appointment to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2014-2016). She has also been recognized by the Aspen Institute (Crown Fellow, 2011 and Braddock Scholar, 2012), the World Economic Forum (Young Global Leader 2007-2012), the Anita Borg Institute (Women of Vision, 2010), and Purdue University (Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni, 2010).
