Tom Meredith

Co-founder and Chairman of the board of Managers of Meritage Capital, an investment management firm specializing in multi-manager hedge funds. I am also Chief Executive Officer of MFI Capital, my family’s private investment arm. Most recently I joined Brightstar Capital Partners (BCP) as Senior Partner. BCP is a Private Equity Firm that specializes in sourcing proprietary equity investments while providing active value creation strategies.
I have served as Acting Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Motorola, Inc., and in various senior positions at Dell Inc., including Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Managing Director of Dell Ventures and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Dell, I was Vice President and Treasurer for Sun Microsystems and Co-Founder and General Manager of Amdahl Capital Corporation.
I currently serve on the board of directors of Bazaarvoice, Inc., IPX, Inc., Rallyhood, Inc., Verb, Inc. and Umbel Corp. Last year I was appointed Vice Chair of Lucid Holdings, Inc., a strong Artificial Intelligence (AI) company based in Austin, TX.
I am a member of the board of directors of The Nature Conservancy and Waller Creek Conservancy.
I serve on the Advisory Boards of the IBM Watson Group, the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, and the University of Texas System Chancellor’s Technology Commercialization Cabinet. I am an Emeritus Trustee of the University of Virginia College Foundation Board.
