Mike Edwards

Mike Edwards is currently a Director at Capital One Labs in San Francisco, where he leads data science projects which convert analytical insights into investigative tools and on-line models. Mike has spent his career immersed in the software engineering and architecture challenges associated with large, complex and disconnected data sets. With the rise of machine learning and its powerful new techniques for analyzing data, he is now focused on designing systems which optimize the human / machine marriage by leveraging the strengths of each. With backgrounds in both psychology and music, Mike is also pursuing technology-enabled solutions which enhance creativity and foster community.
