Thomas Smyth

Thomas is the CEO & co-founder of Trim, the largest and fastest-growing AI assistant for personal finance.

Trim has raised more than $2.2m from venture capital investors, including Ashton Kutcher (Sound Ventures), Eniac Ventures, and Version One Ventures. Our novel application of AI to consumer transaction data has enabled us to save more than $8m for our users thus far.

Thomas previously worked as a Vice-President at Core Innovation Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused entirely on financial technology investments, with more than $125m under management. While at Core, Thomas invested in NerdWallet, a website for financial advice, and CoverHound, an online comparison-shopping marketplace for insurance.

Thomas graduated from Yale University with a degree in political science.
