Sunni Thompson
Sunni leads the social media and content marketing disciplines at J. Walter Thompson Atlanta, overseeing always-on and real-time efforts for clients including the United States Marine Corps, Pennzoil and Quaker State. Her team converts the monologue of traditional advertising into a daily dialogue, pulling from their journalism and PR backgrounds to execute anything from big feature packages to short-form stories. The social and content team is also responsible for listening and moderation, ensuring conversations with audiences and consumers are always relevant to the brand’s messaging strategy. Sunni cut her teeth in advertising by creating social, digital and content strategies for clients including The World Series of Poker, AT&T, 7-Eleven, Hershey's, Harrah's Entertainment, Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut. Prior to abandoning her journalistic ideals for the dark side of agency life, Sunni was a music and nightclubs editor at the Dallas Morning News.
