Esports have emerged as a widely popular industry, with a projected audience of 180 million by 2019 and $5 billion in revenue by 2020. More than 2.1 billion people play mobile games, making it the most popular gaming platform in history. With these massive markets converging, the future of esports will bring the mobile gamer to the forefront by making competition available to everyone, without any specialty gaming hardware required. This session will address the current esports landscape, how people can get involved, and the role that mobile will play in molding the future of the industry.
