Writing a compelling and concise challenge description for a hackathon or mass collaboration can be a daunting task. Writing an inspiring and useful challenge statement requires understanding your own organization as well as your audience. This talk will cover how to ask the right questions to craft a compelling challenge statement that will move people to action, help properly scope the submissions, and set a clear direction for what you look to get from the event.
