Americans’ (Finances) are Sick
Money. We don’t want to deal with it and we don’t want to think about it, but we definitely can’t live without it. It’s one of the most complicated relationships we have. It impacts friendships, causes divorce and is linked to heart disease, diabetes, and many other problems.
Reality. American’s finances are sick. Two-thirds of Americans would have trouble immediately paying an unanticipated bill of $1,000. Fifty-five percent of American households couldn’t last one month on their liquid savings. These are real numbers and real people.
Future. Capital One Labs Co-Founder James Patterson – a Stanford engineer and AOL/Revolution Health alumni – will discuss how Capital One aims to eliminate the stress, confusion, and misunderstanding that surrounds money. Attendees of “American’s (finances) are sick” will walk away with a solid understanding of the elements of innovation that Capital One employs and a roadmap for implementing them in their own organizations.
