30 for 30 Podcasts: Audio Storytelling in Sports

Mar 12, 2017

12:30pm – 1:30pm CT

With the popularity of podcasting on the rise, ESPN Films has greenlit 30 for 30 Podcasts--a new series bringing fans and consumers quality long-form sports storytelling in audio form.

ESPN Films is already a leader in sports documentary filmmaking with its popular 30 for 30 series, but bringing similar stories to podcasts has its advantages and disadvantages.

This panel will explore the state of narrative podcasting and the art and approach to telling a great sports story in audio form, compared to film.

Other questions the panel will address: How does ESPN Films utilize a platform-agnostic strategy? What past experience is the 30 for 30 podcasting team bringing to this new project?
