Bounce is an energetic sub-genre of Hip-Hop which originated in New Orleans in the 1980's-1990's. The purpose of this panel is to allow others to learn about its creation, to become more informed about various bounce artists & industry key players, as well as lead a discussion on the current state and future of New Orleans Bounce. Although today’s Bounce constituents have generated a certain degree of exposure with the incorporation of EDM, the majority have yet to reach commercialized success. Many are faced with a combination of criticism, acceptance, misconceptions, and above all the issue of how to properly brand themselves into mainstream hip-hop platforms.
