Technology Solutions in International Development
Technology provides a great tool for the international development world to deliver solutions cheaper and faster…but not always better. Implementing technology solutions poses challenges together with opportunities: How do you start the development process from the right set of questions? How do you develop technology that connects with people in meaningful ways? How do you deploy these solutions in a sustainable and scalable way? How do you convince users to try something new? Through case studies provided by Gates Foundation, John Snow, Inc and PATH, we will explore the principles behind successful design and deployment of technology solutions in the international development context.
