Overcoming Bias: Relationships Across Difference
This session requires RSVP, and access will only be available to badge types listed under “Primary Access.”
Bias. Everyone has it. So are we doomed to repeat the segregated and discriminatory past, living and working only with those who look, act, and think like us? Not at all. This workshop will explore the latest research on how our brain's wiring predisposes us to be biased, and how we can overcome those unconscious preferences that stifle relationships and inhibit innovation and creativity.
The process of forging authentic relationships across differences ultimately breaks down social barriers, and enriches our lives and ideas. Research and exercises in this session will help you challenge your assumptions and open up to encountering people, cultures, and ideas outside of your comfort zone.
