More and more companies see the value of designing with real data from the early stages of the design process. Unfortunately it’s not always easy to gain access to this data from a design standpoint. Tools like InVision try and help designers bring data from APIs into their workflow but yet don't expose the full capabilities of an API.
Although APIs are not usually part of a designer’s toolkit, there are tools that exist such as Postman and CLIs that make working with APIs very accessible. This session covers tools for gaining a basic fluency of APIs so as to make designs more real from the beginning. Join the panelists as they describe how UX can actually impact the experience of an API.
