Mexican comedic journalist Jose Manuel (Chumel) Torres, creator of the online news concept "El Pulso de la Republica" will discuss the current media landscape in Mexico and Latin America. "El Pulso de la Republica" is YouTube's highest rated Latin American political/satirical content to date. Based in Mexico, where journalists are continuously censored, the content being generated by El Pulso is breaking down barriers and drawing the attention of millennials, all while garnering the attention of major media outlets in Mexico and abroad. As of July of 2016, Mr. Torres is also the host of HBO's "Chumel con Chumel Torres," a weekly political comedic late show.
