Naming and Faming: Battling Corruption with Positivity

Mar 13, 2017

12:15pm – 1:15pm CT

What does the US have to learn from positive international initiatives fighting corruption and kleptocracy? This collaborative session is led by the Accountability Lab’s Integrity Idol- a global campaign to find, film and celebrate honest government officials.

At a time when good governance in the US is under threat, we'll ask what can be learned from places where citizens are "naming and faming" honest politicians. We'll show fun, short videos from the global campaign and discuss tactics and ideas. We will then work with participants in groups to develop their own approaches for pushing back in positive ways against closing civic space, corruption and lack of integrity.
