ALUVIÓN

Music from the colombian pacific coast made in Bogotá

Urban music with loads of influence from afro-colombian music from the pacific coast

Its director, Diego Bonilla comes with all the tradition and ancestry of Timbiquí, a Colombian afro-village located on the Pacific Coast known for giving birth to skillful artists, so when he arrives in Bogotá he meets Larry Ararat, marimba player and percussionist from Choquibtown. With these two at the head of the project a new musical group is born: ALUVIÓN.

Aluvión makes us think about a strong current of water that is deposited in land. This group was born in 2010 and it was precisely in those times that a stream of Timbiquí water was deposited in Bogotá, creating an exceptional mixture between the marimba, cununos and guasá with the electronic sounds of the Colombian capital.

In March 2017, the band will be ready to show off their talent at different showcases in the city of Austin, Texas at the renowned South by South West (SXSW2017). Aluvión will be the only Colombian group representing the great cultural wealth of our country in one of the most media festivals in the United States.
