Jukay Hsu is the Founder and Executive Director of C4Q, which fosters the Queens tech ecosystem and increases economic opportunity in the world’s most diverse community. C4Q's innovative Access Code education program is creating a new talent pipeline that's increasing income mobility and diversity in the tech industry and has raised participant income from on average of $26,000 a year to $73,000 a year. After graduating from Harvard College, Jukay served as a U.S. Army officer where he commanded a rifle platoon in Iraq and earned the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Jukay led economic development and governance initiatives for two Iraqi districts, and founded the first private provincial radio station with Iraqi reporters. After military service, Jukay returned home and founded C4Q because of technology's potential to empower people and communities. Jukay was honored to serve as the youngest member of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Transition Team and on the Mayor's “Jobs for New Yorkers” Task Force. He also currently serves as a Director of the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association and as a Trustee of the Queens Public Library, Chairing its technology committee. Jukay was honored to receive the 2014 “Spirit of ABNY” award from the Association for a Better New York.
