Toni Miranda is the New Ventures Manager for the Texas A&M System Technology Commercialization. In his role he manages the creation of new ventures based on strategic assessment of intellectual property created across the Texas A&M University System. Toni negotiates and delivers business agreements between the A&M System, inventors, industry and investors. He works on cultivating and developing relationships with those interested in selected technologies that anticipate a commercial application or have been identified as outside investors or development partners. Toni participates in all aspects of due diligence, venture formation and business plan execution of the created spin-outs.

Toni works in the IT/Wireless industry in the US and overseas for more than 16 years. He consulted software and hardware teams on their go-to-market strategies, designed sustainable business models for B2B and B2C companies with strong emphasis on user experience, conducted market validation, research and business analysis to support strategic and tactic decisions, coordinated and executed initial screening of 100+ engineering startup companies annually, and performed due diligence for the technology/product, market, and team assessment. Companies advised by Toni in the last 3 years raised combined $10M+ in the private capital market.

Toni spent the last 8 years in Technology Commercialization by promoting collaborative R&D projects at Tech Transfer La Salle Barcelona, training and mentoring innovators at The University of Texas at Austin IC2 Institute, and helping creative New Ventures by mentoring IT/Wireless based start-ups at the Austin Technology Incubator and Technova Barcelona. Prior to that, Toni focused through his work on project management, software development, and the design and security of technology infrastructures at Atos Origin and One Access in Paris, and at Unitronics in Barcelona. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Catalan.
