Why the World Needs Biological Design
Biotechnology is spreading into every aspect of our lives—from our foods, medicines to our everyday products. How might we harness living things to improve the form and function of our made world—our garments, buildings, foods, and infrastructure? Until now, biotechnology has excited the public about greener modes of production, but it has also generated fear. Our speakers will explore how we can use design to envision potential futures, and suss out what's possible, probable, desirable and even potentially catastrophic. Join a leading artist, exhibition designer, and policy specialist as they debate biological design.
