Solving Big Problems with Big Hardware
In an age of ever-shrinking consumer electronics and the proliferation of wearables, there are a handful of audacious companies looking to tackle some of humanity’s greatest challenges with “big hardware”. Humanitarian issues are rapidly increasing in size and scope, forcing innovators to consider new solutions to massive problems. To date, the only tool regularly used to combat these issues has been software, but often the most insurmountable challenges can only be addressed with physical solutions. Now more than ever, we need digital AND physical solutions working together at sizes that dwarf traditional consumer electronics. It's time for big hardware.
