Every film begins with an idea. But what do you do next? Learn all about the writing process from fellow screenwriters. If you need advice on how to get your ideas on the page, then this new mentor session is the one for you.
This Mentor Session requires advance online sign up and is available to all Film, Gold, and Platinum badgeholders on a first-come, first-served basis. Online sign ups will open in February.
Registrants who sign up online must check-in 30 minutes before their mentor time slot to guarantee their spot. Limited on-site sign up is also available for a small number of Mentor Sessions spots and will begin 30 minutes before the first time slot of each session.

You’ve seen a tragic story like Brian’s so many times before. Strung out on the streets of South Dakota and Texas, he’d write for anyone who’d ask for another hit of Courier 12—a REPORTER for the Rapid City Journal, PLAYS (2 award-winning one-acts), INDUSTRIALS, VIDEO GAMES, even as a COPYWRITER for Mattel Games (Harry Potter product lines). He finally got clean as a LINE PRODUCER for The Discovery Channel (New Detectives, The Quest), but then a smooth-talking stranger told him he could get paid for his addiction... His first time was with Stan Lee (of Marvel Comics) as a STAFF WRITER/PROPERTY DEVELOPER (Conan, Zorro, among others) for Stan’s internet studio (Stan Lee Media) and outside studios. After setting up a couple FEATURES (Paramount & Universal) and a PILOT (Fox), he did anything to keep the Writer/Producer high going — producing/writing on JAG, First Monday, then the CSI franchise (including chasing the dragon for 8 yrs on CSI:Miami), plus a few other shows you’ve never heard of. Along the way, Brian has become a member of the WGA, PGA, & ATAS (Emmy voter) and other criminal organizations. Now he’s experimenting with designer drugs for any pipeline out there, pimping his own devil-brew to hook the next generation…Hide the rest
