Catherine Crawford is an aeronautical engineer for Crawford Composites, LLC, specializing in aerospace, automotive and military applications. Throughout her 15-year career, Crawford is also considered a leader in the motorsports industry. She is the principal of Crawford Race Technology, LLC, where she currently contracts to DeltaWing Racing.

Her engineering expertise includes aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics and race strategy.

Crawford began her career in the U.K. as a Formula 1 racing specialist, where she focused on design and wind tunnel testing. Ten years later, she returned to the U.S. to hone her skills, becoming part – including crew chief – of many winning organizations from NASCAR to Rolex Sportscar Series. Crawford’s involvement in racing ensures that Crawford Composites and its customers remain at the forefront of the industry in development and creative solutions. Recent introductions include the Crawford Composites PaddleShift System (CCPS), a fully configurable pneumatic sequential paddle-shift system, and the Formula Lites Crawford (FL15) chassis.

Additionally, Crawford serves as an integral member of the Crawford High-Performance Composites network of companies, which include General Composites, Inc., a contract manufacturer of high-end composite components for virtually all markets, and Resolute™ Racing Shells, an international leader in carbon fiber rowing shells.
Working in racing has kept Crawford at the forefront of innovations in the aerospace materials currently used in motorsports and allowed her to use that knowledge in the other industries Crawford High Performance Group services.
