Todd Remis is a film producer who has a strong background in finance, having worked at some of the largest global asset management firms in Boston and NYC for close to two decades.
The first film of which he was an Executive Producer is Magic Magic, written/directed by Sebastian Silva (2009 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner and 2013 Sundance Best Director), Produced by Christine Vachon among others, and starring Michael Cera, Juno Temple, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Emily Browning.
Magic Magic premiered in 2013 at The Sundance Film Festival (Official Selection, Park City at Midnight) and had its international premiere at The Cannes Film Festival (Official Selection, Director's Fortnight) with an additional screening at The Sitges Catalonia Film Festival.
The film was acquired and is currently being distributed by Sony Pictures.
He currently has 2 films in production as Producer.
Porto Mon Amour, written/directed by Gabe Klinger (2013 Venice film festival Best Documentary), Executive Produced by Jim Jarmusch, and starring Anton Yelchin and Lucie Lucas.
Keep The Change, written/directed by Rachel Israel, Executive Produced by Amy Hobby and Anne Hubbell of Tangerine Entertainment, and Produced by Summer Shelton.
Other projects are being considered or are at earlier stages of development.
Mr. Remis received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College, and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. More recently he successfully completed the Professional Program in Producing through the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Independent Film Festival Boston (IFFBoston), and a member of the Screening Committees for both the Los Angeles Film Festival (LAFF) and for New Filmmakers Los Angeles.
