Publicity, and marketing can make or break a film. Come get some hands on information about the modern role of PR, and how marketing impacts filmmakers and their films today.
This Mentor Session requires advance online sign up and is available to all Film, Gold, and Platinum badgeholders on a first-come, first-served basis. Online sign ups will open in February.
Registrants who sign up online must check-in 30 minutes before their mentor time slot to guarantee their spot. Limited on-site sign up is also available for a small number of Mentor Sessions spots and will begin 30 minutes before the first time slot of each session.

Gerilyn Shur has worked on publicity campaigns for film, filmmakers, actors and live theater throughout the past decade. She currently heads the NY National Publicity Team at Allied Integrated Marketing.
Gerilyn was previously at Brigade Marketing where she handled campaigns for films such as, “The Overnight,” “Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me,” “Your Sister’s Sister,” “Jiro Dreams Of Sushi, “ “Paul Williams Still Alive,” “A Teacher,” “The One I Love” among others. She also handled publicity for filmmakers including The Duplass Brothers and Lynn Shelton. In addition to this experience, she previously held positions at 42West Public Relations, The Weinstein Company and Barlow Hartman Public Relations working with clients such as Magnolia Pictures, IFC Films, Oscilloscope Laboratories and TWC-Radius. Gerilyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Theater Arts Management from Ithaca College.
