From Dive Bars to the Billboard Charts - X Ambassadors, an Artist Development Case Study
X Ambassadors are a New York band who define long term, artist development. Three out of the four band members grew up together, playing in bands throughout their youth in Ithaca, NY, eventually relocating to Brooklyn to start the band. After self releasing EP's and touring the United States multiple times in their van (plus self funding trips to Europe), the band signed to KidinaKorner - a joint venture between superstar producer Alex Da Kid and Interscope. Their journey while on Interscope has been a slow burn - releasing two EP's, and multiple singles plus non stop worldwide touring. Two massive TV placements - one with Beats By Dre and one with Jeep - kickstarted the launch of their new album, VHS and lit the fire that took their single "Renegades" to the top of the charts around the world.
