Dion Francis DiMucci, better known as Dion, is a legendary American singer-songwriter whose work has incorporated elements of doo-wop, rock and R&B styles—and, most recently, straight blues. He was one of the most popular American rock and roll performers of the pre-British Invasion era. He had more than a dozen Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 60s. Songs such as “Teenager In Love,” Runaround Sue,” "The Wanderer", “Ruby Baby,” and “Abraham, Martin and John” are woven into the fabric of American rock history.

In 1959 Dion gave away his seat on the plane that ended the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper during the infamous “Winter Dance Party Tour.” Throughout his life, Dion has never stopped making music and experimenting with styles, producing bodies of work in later years ranging from the influential Phil Spector-produced 1975 album “Born To Be With You” to the blues in later years. Dion was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, introduced by Lou Reed.

In 2015 Dion signed with Instant Records for the 2016 album “New York Is My Home.” The title track is a love letter to New York City, recorded with Paul Simon.

Richard Gottehrer is the Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of The Orchard, a pioneering music and media company that has grown to become the largest supplier of digital music in the world with offices in more than 25 countries.

Richard began his career in the music industry as a songwriter, penning classics such as "My Boyfriend's Back" and "I Want Candy" and was an artist in the 1960s pop group, The Strangeloves. In 1966, he co-founded leading independent record label Sire Records with fellow luminary Seymour Stein. Later, Richard went on to make a name as a multi-platinum producer for well-known music acts, including Blondie, The Go-Go's and Richard Hell before co-founding The Orchard in 1997.

Today, Richard heads Instant Records, which was originally founded in the 1970s and revived in 2013 in partnership with long-time business partner and Orchard co-founder Scott Cohen. Richard supervises recordings of The Black Angels, Dion, Au Revoir Simone, Fallulah, and Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas. He also manages and produces The Dum Dum Girls for Sub Pop and has worked with The Raveonettes since their inception as well as Dan Owen. His motto is, and has always been "Move forward, even in times of adversity. Move forward."
