MIT #HackMed: State of Digital Health Funding
Since 2010 investments in Digital Health startups have grown from ~$999MM from 139 deals to over $7BN from 561 deals in 2014. Although there are fewer mid-stage deals this year than last, companies that are raising are able to do so faster than in 2014. Follow-on capital is readily available for those companies able to consistently demonstrate a validated solution as investors are focused more on compelling business models and credible outcomes. Come hear from Startup Health as they talk about the factors driving investments, deals, funding stages, investors, startups, most active markets/categories, and future opportunities.
