The Politics of Art in the Global Digital Space

Just a few election cycles ago, cable television and radio ruled the air and sound waves as powerful mediums to spread political messaging. With audiences now scheduling their time around content they want to see or hear – from the videos they watch to the music they listen to, is there any power left in music and film in today’s user-driven and user-generated content world? Insights will be shared by an award-winning music, film collective The Beat & Path, Rock The Vote, and the International Trade Association on the policy behind licensing and distributing media, the relevance of radio in today’s millennial lifestyle, and the power art still has to engage a political audience.
