Jim Snodgrass got into technology because he loved to analyze complex problems and break them down into actionable steps.

Jim currently works on the payments team at Recurly where he leads the development and maintenance of multiple Node service apps. He also works on the Rails back-end and React front-end aspects of the main Recurly app.

Previously, as one of the senior developers on the Skookum Digital Works staff, he was the lead developer on each Node.js project that passed through. SDW is a go-to resource for Joyent (creators of Node) and one of the few software development studios in the country with multiple, realtime Node.js web projects alive in the wild.

When not programming, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle, especially when he can get some time on a racetrack.
