Gabriel's work aims to focus on the intersection of art, news, and politics. As Chief of Staff of RYOT, a media company and virtual reality documentary film studio that seeks to create projects that incite action &change, he oversees editorial, creative, and the the organization's innovations in virtual reality. Prior to RYOT, Gabe worked on both Obama Presidential campaigns as a Field Director. In 2012, he helped run election operations in Colorado, where his team registered over 250,000 voters and developed innovative ways to organize grassroots movements. He served as a Senior Advisor and National Field Director to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2014 and ran several special projects for the Mayor of New York. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 2005, with a degree English & History.

n 2013 Cooke released his directorial debut HOW TO MAKE MONEY SELLING DRUGS produced by Bert Marcus Productions and Adrian Grenier featuring Eminem, 50 Cent, Susan Sarandon, Woody Harrelson and more. DRUGS was bought/distributed by Tribeca Film where it debuted at #1 on iTunes and Amazon. Drugs won the audience award at the Champs-Elysees and Newport Film Festivals and the Best Writing Award from the International Documentary Association. In 2007 Cooke produced and edited his first feature film - DELIVER US FROM EVIL, written + directed by Amy Berg, was honored with the Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary film, made 100+ critics "best of" lists and Rotten Tomatoes top 10 best reviewed films of all time.

In 2010 Cooke produced and edited HBO's critically acclaimed TEENAGE PAPARAZZO directed by Adrian Grenier featuring Matt Damon, Whoopie Goldberg and Lewis Black. Cooke's new weekly web series launched on Facebook July 9th has been viewed over 26 million times.
