Have you ever wanted to explore electronics, coding and fashion to create wearable technology? Or design clothing, interactive toys, or accessories that incorporate advanced electronic technologies? What about integrating sensors to light up clothing or monitor your heart rate? SciTech Kids will show you why adults now take our classes to make gadgets that bring together craft, electronics and programming. Join us in our hands-on session to explore the intersection of tech, fashion and craft and how 3D printing is changing the future of the fashion industry. SciTech will showcase some of the gadgets made including one from her computational fashion class.

Magloire has a proven record of success in providing STEAM programming for adults and children. As a scientist, she spreads her philosophy that anyone can become an innovator if given the right tools and mentoring. A graduate of Princeton University and Columbia University, in biology and epidemiology respectively, Magloire has received numerous awards for her work, including national "Community Leader of the Year" from the Quaker Oats Company, “Women Shaping History Today,” by Education Update newspaper, and has been profiled in various magazines and newspapers including the Newsday, Black Enterprise, and New York Family. She also looks for new ways to teach STEM to underrepresented groups in STEM,.
