Get Messy in the Library: Art, Making and Tinkering
Creative inspiration is a tricky thing to pin down; for the artists highlighted here, the spark can be traced to a library. The Library as Incubator movement is catching fire as the needs of creatives and communities converge with library assets. Engagement includes residency programs, self-publishing platforms, workshops and other services with and for artists and makers of all skill levels. This session includes an in-depth exploration of Madison Public Library’s pop-up Bubbler program, where local creatives are employed to offer hands-on activities for people of all ages. Join us in a win-win for artists, makers, tinkerers and innovators engaging with communities through libraries.
