The ICS Festival Service GmbH is the founder of the legendary Wacken:Open:Air festival, a mega-event to which 75 000 Metalheads from all over the world make the pilgrimage every year, honoring their Heavy Metal heroes. There surely isn´t another event like this in the world.

With more than 25 years of experience in concert organization, tour booking, artist support, publishing and ticket dispatch on the books, ICS fits these pieces together to create a clearly arranged unit.

Born in 1965, Ralf Nüsser had a late start in the music business, even though he had an interest in metal music since the early 80s. In March 1992, he gained experience working for wholesale, import and export companies such as H’ART Music and Discovery. After that period, Ralf worked for labels and distributors like Edel Music, Noise Records, Metal Blade, Century Media records and Rough Trade Distribution. In 2004, Ralf began working for SUMMER BREEZE open air handling general organization as well as all PR and marketing activities, positions which he still holds today. Originating in southern Germany since 1997, SUMMER BREEZE has become the second biggest metal open air in Germany welcoming 40,000 people each year. Musically, the festival is open to all sorts of metal music and genres that fall within the scope. It has a focus on black, death and medieval music but also includes trad, power metal and has slots for punk music.
