Paul Toprac is the Associate Director and Senior Lecturer, Game and Mobile Media Applications (GAMMA) Program, at The University of Texas at Austin. Previously, Toprac was at the Southern Methodist University and before then, the Executive Director of the Austin Technology Council. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on how to use digital games to promote motivation and affect emotions. Toprac has more than the twenty years of experience in the software industry, in roles ranging from CEO to product manager to consultant. During this time, Toprac has hired, or been part of the hiring process, dozens of people and has helped hundreds get jobs. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering, a Master's of Business Administration, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin.
