Cracking the Codes: Why Black and Latino Boys Matter

Friday, March 11
5:00PM - 6:00PM

JW Marriott
Room 303-304
110 E 2nd St

What are the consequences of a diversity debt within a startup? Why are some boys falling behind in the 21st century economy? Hear the journey of three pioneers cracking the code for diversity in tech and throughout the workforce.

During an interactive panel, they will provide insight into the projected deficit of highly skilled workers in the US by 2020, at which time 123 million highly skilled jobs will be available with only 50 million workers with the skills to fill them. In this light, the panelists will discuss how investing in boys of color across the US, soon to be roughly 25% of people entering the workforce, is an overlooked opportunity and can affect a business’ bottom line.
