The preponderance of literature, resources, and events that exist for user experience and interaction design are geared towards designers working in commercial online spaces. For those of us doing design in service areas like education and healthcare, or even doing work outside of web design around productivity software or video games, the challenges for UX are often fundamentally different. This meet up provides an opportunity for designers of all stripes to talk about the peculiarities of the UX challenges they face, and the successes and failures they've had in seeking to overcome them.

Moses Wolfenstein has been designing interactive learning experiences for over a decade, and has been studying and creating games and other digital media for learning since 2006. He has worked as a designer and consultant in both the public and private sectors. He holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis where he worked with his adviser Rich Halverson on games for school leadership. As SeniorInteraction Developer at University of Wisconsin-Extension, Moses works to improve user experiences and develop more powerful interactive learning opportunities across the programs offered through the Continuing Education Outreach and E-Learning division. In addition, Moses also works with game developer Nerd Kingdom as a research consultant on games and learning.Hide the rest
