Betsy Fields is a senior lead at IDEO London, and largely focused on IDEO's health & wellness portfolio. Her work has informed the design of a wide range of products, services, and experiences, answering challenges ranging from improving patient experience, to healthcare service redesign, to finding new ways to drive proactive health engagement. Many of the programs she has led have brought her to locations all over the world, including India, Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, Peru, Chile, and all over the United States. She has a wealth of experience helping organizations seeking to build a culture of innovation, and enjoys coaching her clients in the tools and methodology of human- centered design. Prior to joining IDEO's London studio in 2015, Betsy spent nine and a half years based at IDEO Palo Alto, where she also held a teaching appointment at Stanford University. She holds a BS in Engineering/Product Design from Stanford, where her senior thesis project, a tampon applicator design, earned her the Chilton Memorial Prize for Excellence in Product Design.
