Vehicles are no longer just a means of getting from Point A to Point B – they are an extension of ourselves and a way to stay connected when on the go. In this talk, Pioneer’s Ted Cardenas will explore the connected lifestyle and how Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have impacted the automotive industry. Topics to be addressed include how the vehicle is now a smartphone accessory, as well as the new connected features of multimedia in-dash systems, such as voice recognition and hands-free texting. This session will also explore the “perfect” car UI; expanding on whether voice, touch or gesture works best for specific tasks, and which solution stands the best chance for market success.
