I’m a native Texan, a Southwestern University graduate, and a proud Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran.

During my time in the military I was a Hospital Corpsman (Fleet Marine Force) of the United States Navy. What is that you ask? Imagine an Army “medic”; now imagine them smarter, faster, stronger, and better looking. That’s me.

My deployments meant being attached to the Marine Corps… more specifically the Marine Corps infantry. And that, my friends, is where I learned about military medicine in all its glory. Whether it was gunshot wound or chlamydia I knew that Ibuprofen and water would cure it all. Sure there were a few other tricks I picked up along the way but those were for *real* emergencies.

After a few deployments I left the military and transitioned to the civilian medicine arena. Since then I’ve worked in different capacities for hospital systems around central Texas, graduated from Southwestern University (Georgetown), and continue to focus on medicine and veteran advocacy.
