How to Diversify Tech and Hack Our Unconscious Bias

Sunday, March 13
3:30PM - 4:30PM

JW Marriott
Salon 7
110 E 2nd St

Everybody knows that a career in tech can be rewarding and high-paying, but the tech industry can't seem to move the needle on recruiting and retaining women and minorities. Will things ever change? This panel combines data, psychology, and academic and industry leaders to discuss the root causes of the lack of gender diversity in tech; invites the audience to examine the unconscious biases that drive the behavior that drives this trend; and discusses practical ways that both women and men can be part of the solution. With a broad, interdisciplinary approach, the panel will go beyond simply identifying to the issues and actually suggest workable solutions.
