Ashley Kelsey is currently an Electrical Engineering Ph.D. student at Prairie View A&M University focusing in Communication and Signal Processing working specifically in the area of Cyber Security. Ms. Kelsey obtained both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View as well. Ms. Kelsey is currently a member of several organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the National Society of Black Engineering, the International Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate, and the Innovation Fellows Program. Ms. Kelsey recently started an organization on her campus (Prairie View A&M University) called PV Wire, which stands for "Prairie View: Where Innovation Reaches Entrepreneurs". The goal of the organization is to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem on campus and in the community as well as give more resources and opportunities for students to start their own businesses or turn their idea/s into an actual product. Ms. Kelsey is extremely passionate about helping others and jumps at any opportunity to positively impact others, her community, and the world.

As the director of continuing education courses at Prairie View she strives for sustaining an innovative and entrepreneurial environment that provides programs and services that meet the workforce, professional and lifelong learning needs of the internal and external constituents we serve.
