Heather Wilde brings a passion for innovation, technology and service, as well as experience with government agencies, corporations and startups, to her role at ROCeteer. She approaches business as an adventure to be explored, with new challenges around every corner. Her impressive and wide-ranging educational background includes the University of Alabama, St. John’s College, and Cambridge University.
Professionally, she has programmed microcontrollers for the Navy, worked on NASA projects, been a Flight Attendant, designed and managed online games for some major licenses, run HR departments for small business and 5000+ employee companies, and designed and managed the support infrastructure at Evernote from its very early days through its milestone of 100 million users.
She is currently the CTO of ROCeteer, a Las Vegas company that provides Coaching and support services to ecosystems globally. In tandem to this role, she enjoys performing as an advisor to startups and coaching their entrepreneurs, and sits on the Board of Directors for Walls360, Ungrounded Games, and UGO Smoothies. She also serves as a Mentor for both the Food-X and Women's Startup Lab Accelerators, and supports initiatives at the International Gaming Institute at UNLV.
Heather also serves on the IT Sector Council of Nevada to help create and expand initiatives statewide in STEM Education and job growth, and volunteers her time with Girls in Tech, a 501(c)3 that encourages diversity and inclusiveness in the STEM sector and with the NeverGiveUp Foundation on their Board of Directors.
A dynamic speaker, she has booked appearances around the world spreading her message of positivity and diversity. She has been published in Mashable and Inc, appeared on Huffpost Live, and has been quoted in both Huffington Post and in the Wall Street Journal as well as many other industry publications. Heather is also the author of the upcoming book "The Birth of a Unicorn."
