Instantaneous: The Magic of Instant Film Meet Up
For this session, I would have a number of Polaroid cameras and film available for attendees to play with and shoot. I'd talk about the progression of Polaroid, and the company that has taken their place, The Impossible Project.
Instant film is an analog medium that has been revived to be a popular format. The creation of instant film is the most chemically complex man-made product in the world. Time magazine names the first instant point and shoot, Polaroid's SX70, one of the top 10 innovations of the 20th century. I want to grow the community of instant film shooters by introducing more people to it.
I believe we can learn a lot from the rebirth of this 40-year-old format.

The Impossible Project
Originally from Kansas City, I moved to Austin about 3 and a half years ago to pursue a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. It was while living here that I found my interest in analog photography, namely old Polaroid cameras.
