Elisa Kreisinger is a Brooklyn-based video artist hacking pop culture. She is currently the Executive Producer of Video at Refinery29 and a Women in Technology Fellow at NYU School of Engineering.

Elisa speaks around the world about the power of blurring the line between fan and critic of popular culture. Her videos garner hundreds of thousands of views and have been featured in the NY Times, Ad Week,BuzzFeed, Mashable, Jezebel, TIME and NY Magazine.

Elisa’s 2012 US Copyright Office testimony helped win crucial exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, allowing online video to flourish across social platforms. Her interview with BuzzFeed founder Jonah Peretti about the power of identity-based viral video is published in The Future of Now. She is a contributor to The Book of Jezebel and The Routledge Companion to Remix Studies.

Her latest project is #TweetsGirlsGet, a twitter bot that responds to misogynistic hate tweet with feminist pop song lyrics.

Phil is an attorney who specializes in copyright, trademark, production clearance, advertising compliance, cyberlaw, corporate transactions and software licensing. Phil is an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Brooklyn Law School, where he trains soon-to-be attorneys in entrepreneurship and project management. Phil is founder and a lead organizer of Legal Hackers, an international organization of legal-industry and policy innovators. Phil earned his B.A. from Boston University. In his spare time, Phil is an entrepreneur and a DJ.
