BIOGRAPHY

Bleu soon saw a window of opportunity to take a bigger step into the music industry when his cousin Ras Kass landed a record deal. This family connection provided Bleu with the opportunity to go on tour and record in the studio. As a quick study of the rap game, Bleu seized every moment as a learning opportunity to grow as a performer. After recording a number of demo tapes, Bleu's circumstances took a turn for the better when he linked up with DJ Pooh. The relationship with Pooh birthed a very important milestone in Bleu's career. He soon met music entrepreneur Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and together they created BMF Entertainment Music. The partnership quickly cemented Bleu as an astute businessman and helped develop his sharp industry savvy which translated into generating necessary buzz for BMF Entertainment Music.
Bleu's vast knowledge of what people wanted to hear created a momentum for BMF Entertainment Music that continues to today. Over the years, Bleu has collaborated with major recording artists, such as Rick Ross, E-40, Fabolous, Gucci Mane, Jadakiss, Trick Daddy, Bun B., Pitbull and more. Those opportunities have enabled Bleu to assist in the development of unsigned raw talent such as, New York rappers, Computer and TUGE, The MOB out of St. Louis, MO and Oowee of California. Many of these mentoring projects were featured on the Bleu DaVinci compilation album "The World is BMF's", which was released on Koch Records and nominated for a Source Award in 2004.
Today, DaVinci’s confidence as a label president enabled him to produce a project that represents the many elements of Hip-Hop; leading him to discover rappers Tabius Tate and Calico Jonez. Bleu’s first major project after a brief hiatus from the music scene is a BMF Entertainment Music compilation album "Respect The Unexpected" which features BMF artists; Calico Jonez, David Gray, Markque's and Tabius Tate. The project is slated for release on iTunes and select retail outlets this spring and is described as worldly, well-rounded and something that can appeal to all tastes. Bleu’s track on the album is titled "Work Hard for the Money"– which he says is his attempt at getting people to really understand who he is as a business man and artist.
Bleu’s latest mixtape entitled "The DaVinci Code" co-hosted by DJ Scream and Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory was released on July 17, 2012 and has been well received.
