Julie Christensen sang with Leonard Cohen's bands in 1988 and 1993 and on record (and was featured in the documentary "Leonard Cohen-I'm Your Man".) She co-fronted post-punk LA rockers Divine Horsemen in the eighties. She has made 5 of her own soulful CDs of "luscious Americana Art-pop" with top-shelf musicians. A voice-slinger for hire live and in the studio with the likes of John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Steve Wynn, k.d. lang, and Doug Sahm, her most recent Americana album "Weeds Like Us"was produced by Mavis Staples' bassist and solo artist Jeff Turmes. Julie moved to East Nashville in 2013 and will record a rock album this spring with her band, Stone Cupid.
