In November 2013, Rich Homie Quan delivered his third successful mix tape dubbed "I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In" featuring DJ Drama, Baby, Young Thug and Problem. The New York Times hailed him as "part of Atlanta’s rising generation of rappers—think Future, Young Thug, Young Scooter—who deliver lines with melody and heart, like singers on the verge of a breakdown.”
The Hip-Hop fan favorite kicked off 2014 with the mega single “My Hitta” which he was featured on with YG and Jeezy that went Platinum in January of that year. He was chosen to be on the cover of XXL Magazine’s highly acclaimed 2014 XXL Freshman Class issue, won Best Collaboration for “My Hitta” at the 2014 BET Awards and was also nominated in the Best New Artist category.
Later that year, Rich Homie Quan was nominated for Rookie of the Year and Best Mixtape at the BET Hip Hop Awards in his hometown. Showing no signs of slowing down, the rap star traveled across the country as a star performer on Wiz Khalifa’s Under the Influence Tour, winning thousands of new fans along the way.
When he’s not on tour or in the studio recording new music, Rich Homie Quan always finds time to give back to the community. In 2013, along with his TIG label, he hosted his annual “Feed the Streets” events where he volunteered at the New York Food Bank and gave away 100 turkeys to local families. In 2014, the event reached twice as many people with over 200 turkeys handed out for Thanksgiving and 100 bikes donated to kids in Atlanta.
With hits the likes of “Type of Way,” “My Hitta,” “Walk Thru,” and “Lifestyle,” Rich Homie Quan has boldly made his mark in the industry and is undoubtedly one of the fastest rising stars in the game today.
