The economics of modern AAA games limit publishers' ability to innovate and makes them more risk averse. On the other side of the spectrum indie studios bring incredible diversity with limited resources. The empty space between AAA and indie games is a land of opportunity and could lead to the next cycle of growth and innovation. We will discuss how game developer could rise up to the occasion and bring innovative new intellectual properties in cost effective fashion.
